Privacy by design
PDF Creator is an offline-first document application. Documents you create or import are stored on your device unless you choose to sign in and use cloud backup.
Data we process
- Documents and images you select are processed to create or edit PDF files.
- Camera access is used only after you choose to scan a document.
- Photo access is limited to images you select through the system picker.
- If you sign in with Google or Apple, Firebase Authentication processes the account information supplied by that provider.
- If cloud backup is enabled, documents and their metadata are stored in a private Firebase area associated with your account.
- The iOS and Android apps use Google AdMob for banner and occasional interstitial ads. Depending on consent choices, AdMob may process device identifiers, approximate location, ad interactions, and diagnostics. The web app does not display AdMob ads.
How data is used
Data is used for document creation, editing, viewing, synchronization, recovery, and advertising-supported operation of the mobile apps. PDF Creator does not sell document contents or use them for advertising. Ads never gate saving or opening a PDF. Where required, the app asks for advertising consent and provides ad privacy choices in Settings.
Storage and security
Local documents remain in the application’s private storage. Cloud backups are protected by Firebase Authentication and user-specific Firestore access rules. Internet transport uses encrypted connections.
Retention and deletion
You can move local documents to Trash and restore them. Signed-in users can permanently delete their account and all cloud backups from Settings. Account deletion does not remove documents stored locally on the device.
If you cannot access the app, use the public account deletion request page.
Children
PDF Creator is a general-purpose productivity application and is not directed to children under 13.
